WALL LIGHTS – WHEN, WHERE AND WHY

Helena Åkerberg, Light Architect at Greatlight shares some insights about the importance of wall lights in a space:

Wall lights tend to be an undervalued category of lighting, but can have great effects on your interior atmosphere. By placing light sources on walls, you can create effects, mark points and define sections of your interior.

The importance of using a variety of light sources in an interior space is no secret, -here the wall light fills a great function contributing to the grand scheme by complimenting your functional lighting.

Wall lights can also be used to divide a room, and when used in repetition, a strong visual order can be achieved. This works especially well in spaces like hallways, stairways and vast rooms where you might want to emphasize certain dimensions and features of the space.
