STYLE TO THE POWER OF THREE

Kitchen design genius and B+P favourite Annika Rowson continues to drop projects that leave indelible impressions on the psyche. This time, it’s her Barrett Project, which turns a previously cramped space into a haven for socialising. Rather than read between the lines this time, we asked Rowson to talk us through three of Barrett Project’s highlights in her own words.
Highlight One – The Tempest honed Quartzite.
This incredible quartzite was selected for its depth & bold movement. The block form island creates a strong statement in the space, along with the vertical application of the quartzite for the splashback, which allows it to be viewed like a beautiful piece of art @cdkstonenz

Highlight Two – Premium appliances & hardware.
This kitchen features an impressive selection of premium & integrated appliances fit for an entertainer’s dream, & are complemented by smoked bronze closet pull bars for both a tactile & practical aesthetic @fisherpaykel

Highlight Three – Rich Timber details.
Rich veneer in Stardust Walnut was selected to add depth to the space & also to complement the strong green hue of the quartzite. This created a bold & moody aesthetic, & a mid-tone oak floor was laid to soften the space along with the introduction of reeded glass to define the bar area @VidaSpace
