THE BUSTER BULB WINS AT THE GOOD DESIGN AWARDS
Buster + Punch has been awarded the 2017 GOOD DESIGN™ award for their LED BUSTER Bulb. The LED bulb signifies the first radical redesign of the “Edison style” bulb, making it energy efficient and highly functional.
GOOD DESIGN™ is the world’s most prestigious, recognized and oldest Design Awards program, which is organized annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. The trademarked awards were created in Chicago in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr.
GOOD DESIGN™ represents the world’s critical mass of the design and manufacturing industry, representing the best consumer design ranging from the “spoon to the city.”
The LED BUSTER Bulb is the industry’s most innovative, eco-friendly LED alternative to traditional filament. With an E26 standard socket base, the bulb can also be used as a direct replacement for screw-thread incandescent bulbs. Buster Bulbs last over seven times longer than standard or incandescent bulbs with a bulb life of more than 30,000 hours.
“This simple light bulb (although robust with technical innovation packed inside) might finally get everyone to see eco-efficient design in a different light,”
-Massimo Buster Minale, founder of Buster + Punch.
